The original KUS Hall Effect Speed Sensor (also known as the Holzer sensor) uses the physical Hall effect to measure changes in the magnetic field on rotating shafts or gears. Unlike purely passive magnetic sensors, this active sensor delivers a crystal-clear, digital square-wave signal. This ensures absolutely jitter-free transmission—even at extremely low RPMs or when moving very slowly through the water.

It is the top choice for modern digital instrument clusters, onboard computers, and NMEA converter boxes that require a clear digital signal for error-free data processing.

Since Hall sensors (Holzer sensors) contain electronic semiconductors, they require their own power supply (3-wire connection: positive, ground, signal), unlike passive transducers. Please select the appropriate shaft length for your unit from the menu above.
