KUS Sensor for Rudder Angle Indication 0–190 Ohms – Precise Position Measurement for Stern Rudders

The original KUS rudder position sensor (0–190 ohms characteristic curve) is the global standard for boats and yachts with conventional shaft systems, Z-drives, or stern drives. The sensor is mounted in the stern and is directly coupled to the rudder quadrant’s movement via a sturdy mechanical linkage. It converts the mechanical rudder angle into the European standard resistance range of 0 ohms to 190 ohms.

Thanks to its precise, internal reed contact technology, this transducer delivers an absolutely stable, smooth, and jitter-free signal to your helm—completely unaffected by vibrations, hull oscillations, or choppy wake.
