While we recommend the best way to get a RIBPort or QuikPort fixed to your inflatable is to visit a professional service center, there are other Options.
With the RIBPort 3M VHB Pad conveniently installed in your garage, you no longer need to call a professional or work with messy adhesives to install accessories on your RIB or inflatable boat. The Railblaza team have done extensive testing on Hypalon, PVC and polyethylene inflatables and also recommend the 3M VHB pad for use on epoxy SUPs or surfboards. The RIBPort can also be attached with conventional inflatable boat adhesives, which are otherwise used to attach handles etc. to RIBs and inflatable boats. You can find suitable adhesive retail kits for PVC or Hypalon linked below.
Important: Use of petroleum based lubricants on the StarPort slide will cause failure. Silicone based products are best suited (please check contents of lubricant before using).
Construction Materials: The StarPort is made from UV stabilised AES plastic and the locking slide from UV stabilised PC plastic. The RIBMount pad is made of non-leeching UV stabilised PVC plastic and all fasteners are from stainless steel.
