When you tighten the 5 mounting screws on your KUS S5 or NS5 (NMEA 2000) sensor, this solid stainless steel ring ensures that the contact pressure is distributed absolutely evenly across the flange gasket.

It reliably prevents the screw heads from dangerously “sinking” into the softer tank material or the tank surface from warping. The ring can be used flexibly as an outer shim for load distribution or inside the tank as a sturdy counter ring (counterplate).
