Reliably prevent annoying blockages and measurement errors in your digital wastewater system! The highly advanced KUS NMEA 2000 black water tank sensor, Model NS3H, was designed exclusively to meet the extreme challenges posed by black water (sewage) and gray water tanks on modern yachts. While conventional sensors in wastewater systems quickly become blocked by solids or toilet paper, the Model NS3H offers long-term, digital operational reliability without loss of analog signal.

Important for your planning: This special sensor is shipped from the factory with a fixed code for black water/sewage tanks as standard.

If you would like to use the transducer for a gray water tank (shower or dishwater) instead, simply add our KUS NMEA 2000 Programming Service (Item No. 33900) to your cart. Our technical staff will reprogram the transducer head with the exact data sets before shipping.

📐 Important Installation & Measurement Notes for Model NS3H:

Due to the protective outer cage, the NS3H model has a total diameter of 55 mm. Please ensure that your tank opening is large enough. To determine the length:

Inner clear tank height minus at least 15 mm to 20 mm = your ideal sensor length. Mechanical contact with the tank bottom must be avoided at all costs.
The NS3H model measures the effective length from the top edge of the thread to the tube element. Conveniently select the appropriate variant from the menu above.
Mounting: Convenient 1 1/4" BSP screw-in thread, including a professional O-ring seal.

True NMEA 2000 Plug & Play: The sensor features a standardized, 5-pin Micro-C connector (M12). It simply screws directly onto an available T-fitting on your NMEA backbone.
Clog-free design: The perforated protective sleeve prevents the internal magnetic float from becoming stuck due to suspended solids and fecal matter.
Durable & Odor-Free: The entire system is made of high-purity AISI 316 stainless steel (V4A). It does not absorb any odors and can be easily rinsed under running water during tank cleaning.
Smart bus power supply: Power and data are transmitted via a single cable. The transmitter draws minimal power from the network (LEN = 1 / less than 50 mA) and operates seamlessly in 12V and 24V data buses.
